Tungsten Disulfide
Exceptionally Slick, Uniquely Thin. Remarkably Durable
Originally developed for hard vacuum of space, Tungsten Disulfide's exceptional lubricity virtually eliminates friction: the source of heat and torque. Less friction prevents galling, cold welding and seizure in bearings, gears, pistons, threads and Fastener. A uniquely thin coating (about 20 millionths of an inch) WS2 can coat the tiniest parts without affecting dimensions or performance.

Engineering Excellence
Designed To Be Impinged
Applied Tungstenite specializes in AMS 2530 the most recent specification for impinged tungsten disulfide. High velocity impingement forms a strong molecular bond to the substrate resulting in the longest wear life of any other solid lubricant.
Primary Uses of Tungsten Disulfide
- Ultra-low coefficient of friction: 0.030 dynamic
- A single layer of modified Tungsten Disulfide .5 um thick
- Temperature range: -273°C to +650°C
- LOX compatible
- Load capacity same as substrate up to 300,000 psi
- Inert, non-toxic and non-corrosive
